Continuing our tribute to ‘the golden age of air travel’, Eclectica Projects presents our first American Airlines-inspired cocktail cabinet. For lovers of entertaining, aviation, mid-century style and vintage graphics, our cabinets are professionally refinished by hand to the highest standards, with this unique piece of usable furniture art boasting a wealth of features.

• A stunningly restored walnut carcass with retro ‘American Airlines’ eagle design and text inspired by the airline’s aircraft livery adopted between 1945 and 1962, finished in metallic gold leaf with walnut stain with interior map lining and fresh off-white colourway with mirrored glazing.

• Novel fold-out Formica bar with glazed serving window, ample bottle and glass storage, and twin drawers with original brass handles and solid brass ovoid door hinges.

• Handcrafted luggage tag keyring made from walnut and plywood with original 1940’s American Airlines luggage sticker and gold bottle opener, two sets of cocktail sticks, and a pack of original, sealed American Airlines-branded playing cards.

• A discreet, rechargeable LED light with multifunctionality (on/off/dim/warm and bright light options), supplied with 2x remote controls and USB charging cable.

• Retrofitted brass 2-pin hairpin legs.

Condition: all of the furniture in our Store is vintage or antique and has enjoyed a previous life. Whilst professionally refinished/restored, some minor or discreet signs of wear may remain, or other age-related indicators such as pitting to original metalwork, or ghosting to mirrored sections may be present. Such minor imperfections only serve to add to the provenance and history of the pieces but should you have any concerns about any aspect of condition, feel free to contact me here and I’ll be only too happy to help.
