“I use my skills and a wealth of industry experience to produce a high quality of craftsmanship with an unparalleled attention to detail.”

By drawing on a broad palette of colours and textures, together with a knack for sourcing striking furniture pieces, I’m able to produce a huge range of contrasting finished styles; from eye-catching centrepieces in commanding colour-ways, decoupaged conversation pieces, to simple, classic restorations with distinctive, unique twists. Using only the finest eco-friendly materials available on the market, I undertake each project with an unparalelled level of care and attention. The results are sometimes bold, sometimes understated, yet always unique.

“Taking inspiration from mid-20th century, Scandinavian, Art Deco, and ‘Modern Vintage’ styles, whilst embracing elements of pop culture, subculture and contemporary design aesthetics, I enjoy reflecting these influences in my work.”

I particularly enjoy working with furniture from the post war-period, between the late 1940’s and 1960’s, when the shackles of rationing were shaken off in favour of a more experimental, rebellious, and stylistic approach to furniture design. I was born in the 70’s, but have always been curious about the cultural and design-led revolution that came about throughout this mid-20th century period, and coupled with an interest in the music, films, art, fashion, architecture, design and technology of the time, it is this curiosity that punctuates and underpins my work. The structural forms and design characteristics adopted during this era lend themselves well to today’s tastes, and can be enhanced with a fresh re-finish, be it restorative or a complete re-design.

“In addition to designing my own creations that are made available for purchase, I also provide a Commission Service through which I work closely with you to release the potential in furniture of your own.”

Whether you have your own vision for a piece, or need some help in incorporating some furniture into a new or existing colour scheme within your home, I’m only to happy to talk through how I can help. You may have even seen something in my portfolio that you’d like replicating on something you already own. Alternatively, I am always on the lookout for quality furniture and maintain a stock ready for working on, so if there is anything specifically you are hunting for, I may have just the piece. A pre-arranged visit to my workshop and studio is most welcome, where we’ll be able to discuss colours and finishes in more detail with the help of swatches, sample pieces, and very tasty coffee!
